Thank you for using Cleaner for Developer (the “App”). We take your privacy and personal information seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use this Mac cleaning utility.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Cleaner for Developer and its Mac cleaning features, including scanning app caches, logs, temporary files, and other removable items, as well as deleting selected items at your confirmation. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this policy.

2. Information We Process

To provide cleaning functionality, the App may process the following information locally on your Mac:

2.1 Device and File System Information

  • Application information: Such as installed app names, Bundle IDs, and installation paths, used to identify cleanable caches and junk files.
  • File metadata: Such as file paths, file sizes, modification dates, and file types, used to display scan results and calculate reclaimable space. The App does not read or upload the actual contents of your files.
  • Scan and cleanup records: Such as items you choose to clean, scan results, and operation preferences, stored locally on your Mac by default.

2.2 Information You Provide

  • Cleanup preferences and settings: Such as scan scope, excluded directories, and cleanup rules, stored locally on your device.
  • Feedback: If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and content you voluntarily provide.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not require account registration and do not collect your name, government ID, contacts, browsing history, keystrokes, or other sensitive personal information unrelated to Mac cleaning.
  • We do not access, collect, or upload the contents of your personal documents, photos, emails, source code, or other file bodies.

3. How We Use Information

We process the information above solely to provide Mac cleaning services, including:

  • Scanning and displaying app caches, logs, temporary files, and other items that can be safely removed;
  • Performing deletions based on your selections and confirmations;
  • Saving and applying your scan and cleanup preferences;
  • Responding to your inquiries, complaints, or support requests.

We do not use your file information for advertising, nor do we sell your personal information to third parties.

4. System Permissions

To scan and clean files, the App may require macOS permissions, such as access to specific folders or Full Disk Access. These permissions are used only to identify and clean target files locally. The App does not delete files automatically without your action.

You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Some scanning or cleaning features may not work properly if permissions are revoked.

5. Storage and Security

  • Local processing: Scanning, analysis, and deletion are performed locally on your Mac. The App does not upload scan results or file information to our servers.
  • Local storage: Cleanup preferences and scan records are stored locally on your Mac and protected by your user account permissions.
  • Transmission security: If a future version communicates with a server (for example, optional rule updates or version checks), we will use encrypted transmission (such as HTTPS/TLS).
  • Retention: Local data is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data. Feedback sent by email is retained only as long as needed to handle your request and any necessary follow-up.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

6. Third-Party Services

The App currently does not integrate third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. If future versions introduce third-party services (such as crash reporting), we will update this policy, disclose it in the App, and use only services that meet Apple’s privacy requirements.

The App runs on macOS, and system-level data processing is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your information:

  • Access and modify: View and edit scan scope, exclusion rules, and other preferences in the App.
  • Control deletion: All cleanup actions require your confirmation before files are deleted, and you can choose which items to remove.
  • Stop processing: Quit the App or revoke related permissions in System Settings to stop file scanning and cleanup.
  • Delete data: Uninstalling the App removes locally stored settings and records.
  • Contact us: For questions or to exercise your rights, email [email protected].

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. For material changes, we will also notify you through the App when appropriate. Please review this page periodically.
